The Romans already valued the suitability of this region for agricultural and livestock activities, in fact the olive grove is located right between the old Ulia (Montemayor) and Ipagro (Aguilar de la Frontera).

Its undulating and not particularly elevated orography, around 500 meters, with high seasonal temperature contrasts, low rainfall and sandy clay loam soils, configure excellent conditions for the cultivation and production of the OCAL variety, predominant in the olive grove.
